First day of the rest of my life!

I am thrilled that today is my birthday and that I am fifty years old. If I were speaking this out loud, you would hear absolutely no sarcasm in my voice. My husband says he's never heard of anyone being so happy to turn fifty. I'm fifty and ready to kick life's butt!

Maybe I feel this way because I remember my Mom being excited to turn some milestone age. Maybe I feel this way because my Dad never made it to his 50th.
Maybe I feel this way because my Husband is already 50.

I don't know, I just feel this way.

I am excited to have this be the best year ever - full of love, laughter and accomplishment!

Met a new family member. Zooey. Zoethy Gale. Zobelina. No matter what you call her, she's about the cutest, nicest cat you'd ever hope to meet.

Always hungry, just like her Gramma.

Too bad, Sookie didn't get to meet this bad boy. Who knew

squirrels came in charcoal!
